Hey there!

I’m Brittney Kirton, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Sensitive Sleep Consultant, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, & Postpartum Doula.

I’m on a mission to help parents fully embrace and enjoy their baby’s first year.

Since 2008, I’ve been working one on one to support families through the first stage of parenting. I teach families the tools to establish building blocks essential to creating healthy sleep habits, forming strong and loving attachments, developing strong nutrition foundations, and more.

I know that when it comes to parenting, there is no “one size fits all”. Your baby is unique and your approach should be too. That’s where I fit in. I’m here to answer your questions, offer solutions, and provide support because this season shouldn’t be one of overwhelm and stress. I’m making it my personal mission to help your embrace and enjoy your baby’s first year.

Client Love

“Brittney’s help with the early stages of breastfeeding were invaluable. She made sleeping, feeding and dealing with baby much easier in the first critical weeks. Every new mom could benefit from Brittney’s amazing experience. “

Brittney met us at the door the first day that we came home from the hospital with our daughter and was so happy to meet the previous occupant of my baby belly! … I cannot stress how supportive and non-judgemental Brittney is. I never felt silly for asking anything. She provided answers in such a clear and precise manner, not at all condescending. There was nothing that I couldn’t talk to her about … Brittney was amazing with our daughter and with us. She showed my husband and I how to soothe her and gave tips on how to help her with gas or constipation. She wasn’t just helpful while she was in our home but helped us develop skills to care for our daughter on our own and without anxiety … Just knowing that I would have Brittney with us the next day gave me the peace of mind to make it through the current day … Having Brittney in our home had an enormous and positive impact on our experience of those early weeks of parenthood.”

“A quick note to thank you again for such a helpful meeting yesterday. I really appreciate how knowledgeable you are and that you communicate what you know in a way that i can understand and implement it. Our interaction yesterday was empowering, encouraging and just really pleasant. Just wanted to let you know and express my gratitude.”

“Brittney was a perfect post partum doula for us. She was always very reliable, timely, helpful and encouraging. She helped me with my struggles with breastfeeding, made sure I was rested and fed and most importantly was amazing with our son. We absolutely loved working with her and would recommend her to any one.”

My Approach

My 4 – step approach to a more fulfilling first year

Step 1: The Initial Consult

We’ll connect either in person or over the computer. I’ll take the time to listen and hear what makes your family and your circumstances unique. This is a judgement free zone where you can feel safe to open up and share with me what your struggles are, what is and isn’t working, and what you want as a result of our time together. After your initial consult, I’ll leave you with a few materials to look over as I begin creating a plan that will fit your families needs.

Step 2: The Solution

Within two days, I’ll provide a series of solutions. We’ll talk about which feels like the best fit for you and your baby and I’ll walk you through what implementing that will look like in your home. I’ll offer a call and/or email support in this stage so that you feel 100% confident in the plan and what that looks like for you and your family.

Step 3: Support & Parent Implementation

In this next phase, you’ll be focusing on introducing and implementing these new techniques into your daily routine. I’ll be available via phone and/or email to answer any questions you might have and provide support and encouragement.

Step 4: The Wrap Up

I’ll follow up with you one on one to see how things are going and discuss what type of follow up plan is best for you. Before our time together is completed, you’ll have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the next stage. I’ll update your original plan to include information on what to expect in the next phase of your baby’s development and address any of your concerns. It’s my goal to help you feel prepared and confident for what comes next.
